Description:
Recharge is a simple 2 - 4 player card game for ages 12 and up. The game is based off the idea and the feeling of anxiety when your phone battery running out (Which many people face). The objective is simple, try to outlast your friend's "battery life" and you win the game!

As stated in the description, the game is about you running out of phone battery and trying to outlast the other player. The idea came to me as I was heading back home one day after school when I find out that my phone battery was running out. I was feeling a little anxious as I will not be able to keep in contact with the "cyber world" and it was then when I realised that I could possibly turn this into a card game.

Gameplay:
The game is centered around being simple and easy to pick-up while still being fun. The player will start out with 15 charge cards which will indicate his "lives" with the younger player going first. In each round the player must discard a charge card, draw 2 card, and have the choice of using 3 cards. Cards can be generalized into 3 types of cards. Cards which increase the amount of charge you have, cards which reduces the amount of charges your enemy have or cards with various effects which will influence how the game would go.

Card Design:
As said in "Gameplay", the game is centered around being simple, hence the card design is relatively simple with only the necessities. Every card type have a unique illustration, a box which shows the effects and flavour text and have a unique gradient background design which I will explain later.

Some of the changes in design can be seen in the card above with the one on the left being the earlier version while the one on the right is the final version. The size of the textbox have been increase to accommodate the bigger font of the words for easy readability. The corners have also been rounded to be more aesthetically pleasing. The background colour have been toned down so that it is easier on the eye.

The reason for the gradient background design was to make it easier for production. Because of the gradient, if the card were to be off centered from the printing it will not be noticeable as there are no hard edges which shows the border of the card, hence making it easier to manufacture and produce as it'll not affect the print quality if there was to have any errors.
